In 2024, we served over 80,400 individuals and 20,786 families. Our biggest challenge is the logistics required to receive, store, and distribute food to our community members without having a permanent building or loading docks. We currently set up portable tents in a parking lot, and transport the food from our storage units to the tents, which allows our community members to shop in a farmer’s market style set-up. Our volunteers set up and take down pop-up tents just about every day.
Our food bank operates 50 weeks a year, braving the elements to ensure no one goes hungry. From the freezing cold to the summer heat, our dedicated team of volunteers shows up, taking a one week break in July and one at the end of December. Rain or shine, sleet or hail—we're here! If you are coming to volunteer, don't forget to dress appropriately for the weather outside.
We are fundraising for a permanent building that will provide loading docks and help to shelter from the rain. Please donate to this project and help us to shelter and protect our food, volunteers, and our clients. Thank you.
